Azaya’s Simulation of the Assembly of a Protein Stabilized Nanoparticle (PSN)

The following animation is a cartoon representation of the PSN™ nanotechnology manufacturing process. The animation characterizes the fundamental process behind the preparation of a protein stabilized Nanoparticle and illustrates the course of manufacturing for the single step process to the final product as lyophilized powder. The excipients and API are premixed and subjected to micro emulsification that utilizes a micro-fluidizer adapted to the process, forming nano-sized emulsion particles that contain all product ingredients. The emulsion particles are then treated so as to remove the organic solvents. The remaining excipients self-assemble to form the PSN. The resulting product is filtered, dispensed into sterile vials and concentrated under vacuum to yield the final product; a lyophilized powder ready for use after reconstitution in saline.
