Dr. Joseph P. Miller

After receiving his medical degree and completing his internship and residency at Duke University Medical School, Joe joined South Texas Radiology Group (STRG) in 1976. Dr. Miller is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Since joining STRG, Joe has been instrumental in growing STRG from a group of six general radiologist to an organization of more than 70 radiologist who specialize in all areas of diagnostic, interventional and oncological radiology benefiting patients in South Texas and all of San Antonio's major hospital groups. Foreseeing some of the major challenges confronting the delivery of radiology imaging services, Joe was instrumental in founding South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) in 1999 which has evolved as the major outpatient imaging provider in San Antonio.  Joe has been an enthusiastic investor in a number of San Antonio's emerging medical ventures and biomedical start-ups for the past 30 years.

Dr. Gary West

Gary is a graduate of the USAF Academy and completed medical school at the University of Colorado.  After completing his residency and a research fellowship at Harvard University, Gary spent a 20 year career in the USAF.  As a flight surgeon in the Air Force he was affiliated with the Proton Beam Facility in Los Alamos, New Mexico.  He finished his Air Force career as the Chief of the Radiation Oncology Department, Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center and the Radiation Sciences Division, School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in San Antonio.  While in private practice he was an Associate Clinical Professor of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and on the staff of the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC) where he served as the Chief of Staff and a member of the CTRC Board of Governors.  In addition, from 1992 to 2005, Gary served on the USAA Life Investment Trust Board of Governors and was chairman of the audit committee.  He recently retired as the President of Alamo Oncology Associates.  Gary is a member of many professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American Society of Therapeutic Radiologists and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
